PDT Discord Community Terms of Service

The PDT Discord server is a community to discuss firearms and related topics in a respectful and inclusive environment. By joining and participating in this server, you agree to abide by the following Terms of Service. Violations may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the server.

1. General Conduct

• Respect all members, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or background. Hate speech, harassment, and discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated.
• Engage in discussions in good faith. Personal attacks, insults, and inflammatory remarks are not allowed.
• Trolling of any kind is strictly forbidden. Anyone appearing to be trolling, baiting, or attempting to disrupt discussions will be banned without warning.
• Avoid spamming, excessive self-promotion, or disruptive behavior.

2. Content Guidelines

• Discussions should focus on firearms, self-defense, safety, and related topics from a progressive perspective.
• Do not share or discuss illegal activities, including but not limited to:
  • Illegal firearms acquisition or modification.
  • Advocacy for violence or harm to others.
• No sharing of explicit, graphic, or inappropriate content. This includes images, videos, or links.
• Avoid sharing misleading or false information. Cite credible sources when sharing facts or advice.

3. Privacy and Security

• Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information (yours or others') such as addresses, phone numbers, or private messages without consent.
• Doxxing of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes sharing or disclosing anyone’s personally identifiable information, whether they are members of this server or not. Violators will be banned immediately.
• Do not engage in any activity that endangers members’ safety or compromises their privacy.

4. Channel-Specific Rules

• Use channels for their designated purpose.
• Review pinned messages or channel descriptions for additional guidelines.

5. Moderation

• Moderators reserve the right to warn, mute, or remove members who violate these terms.
• If you believe an action taken against you was unfair, contact a moderator to appeal the decision.
• Moderators’ decisions are final in ensuring the server remains a safe and respectful space.

6. Prohibited Activities

• No promotion or recruitment for extremist organizations, hate groups, or political movements. This server is about self defense, not politics.
• No firearms sales, trades, or other commercial activities.
• No encouraging illegal actions, such as circumventing gun laws.
• No trolling, baiting, or attempting to provoke or disrupt discussions.

8. Liability and Disclaimers

• The server and its moderators are not responsible for the accuracy of advice or information shared by members. Always consult local laws and experts when dealing with firearms.
• Even official posts by PDT or its representatives do not constitute legal advice. You are solely responsible for determining and complying with all Federal, State, and local laws pertaining to the purchase, ownership, storage, transportation, carry, defensive use, and disposal of firearms.
• When in doubt, consult a licensed attorney to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

9. Amendments

• These Terms of Service may be updated periodically. Members will be notified of significant changes. Continued participation after updates constitutes agreement to the revised terms.

10. Agreement

By joining the PDT Discord server, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
